Set TiVo Recordings with your Verizon Cellphone
MoCoNews is reporting this:
Tivo will now allow for the programs to be recorded with instructions through a Verizon Wireless phone in U.S…The TiVo Mobile service works with a small software program VZW customers can download to their handsets that will communicate back to their TiVo DVRs.
The icky part:
And it is expensive for what it is: less $5 a month, in addition to normal cellphone-service charges and TiVo subscriber fees, which are $12.95 a month.
So besides being expensive and only on Verizon, we still like the fact that DVR recording features are being offered by wireless providers.
If you want to set recordings and even watch TiVo on your cellphone, we'll re-point you to a post we did last year summer that mentions the DVR Everywhere service that offers those capabilities for free via Orb.
