Putting the Philips RC9800i Through it's Paces
So I got my Philips RC9800i Touchscreen Remote review unit yesterday. While I'll save the details for our upcoming review, I have to say the 9800i definitely makes a great first impression. In fact I had to keep telling the boys to get away from the remote (it doesn't float in drool).
This is definitely the largest remote I've used but it definitely has a lot of features (you should see the manual!). Probably the coolest feature so far is the built-in Electronic Program Guide (EPG). Yep, I can actually see what time Oprah SportsCenter is on and click straight through from the guide. Pretty sweet! Okay, that's all of the teasing for now.
So I guess I'm going to have to watch an extra amount of TV so I can put the 9800i though it's paces. Life is so hard!

You noticed the price huh?:) Well, I probably wouldn't look at it for that 13 inch Orion in the kitchen but if you have a high-end system, it's worth looking at.
I'll have the review in a few weeks and I'll give you some more information so you can decide if it's work $400 for a remote.
