Crystall Ball: Online HDTV Prices Dropping 15-20% In Time For The Holidays
If you're currently in the market to new LCD or plasma display, you may want to wait until the next month. TV research firm Quixel Research is predicting that HDTV prices 'could' drop another 15-20% in the fourth quarter depending on manufacturer inventories and market share competition. Of course this is just a prediction and with HDTV prices currently so competitive it won't necessarily hurt to buy now. Even in smaller screen sizes such as 32-inches, bigger names like Sony have shutdown last year's value name Vizio by introducing low-cost models. No worries though, the best values are to be found online and we'll keep you updated as to where they are.

There'll be a 32inch Plasma on the market soon which might be worth waiting for - if you want a plasma but don't want to have to throw out everything else in your living room!
A good time to be a buyer imo!
Well, I love my Vizio from last year, but think with this sort of thing coming on I might need to upgrade. The funny thing is that I would no longer upgrade to Sony or the other big guys because Vizio is already as good quality-wise (and can they match $450 @ Costco for 32"?!), so maybe they are getting competition on that side they didn't expect. Just as long as they keep the prices low I'm happy.
