Sony Release 3 Bravia Modules: Wireless Link, DVD Link, And Input Link
Sony's Bravia Internet Video Link now has a few modular siblings with the release of the Wireless Link Module, DVD Link Module, and Input Link Module.
The Wireless Link Module can only transit 1080i signal through a receiver that plugs into the back of the set. No 1080p here. The transmitter can be placed up to 65 feet away from the set and has 4 HDMI slots and a component input. A little pricey though at $799.99, the DMX-WL1 Wireless Link will be available at the end of October.
The DMX-DVD DVD Module is a slot-loading upconverting DVD player that fits into the Bravia's back, but it'll cost you $199.99 and surprisingly there's no Blu-ray version. It's currently available at Amazon.
Finally, the DMX-SW1 Input Module, priced at $149.99, adds 4 additional HDMI slots for those of you with multiple game consoles, disc players, and so on. It's also currently available at Amazon.
