Sony BDP-S350 Blu-ray Player Gets Promised BD-Live, $100 Price Cut

When Sony released the BDP-S350 Blu-ray player earlier this year they promised a BD-Live update and sure enough it's now available as a free firmware update downloadable straight off the internet. Of course because the BDP-S350 doesn't have the required internal memory you'll have to use a USB drive to do it, and like many Profile 2.0 add-ons there is some problems with slowness and overall functionality. But don't complain too much because Sony has dropped the price for the BDP-S350 to $300 confirming a rumor we reported in August! That's $100 less than our favorite Blu-ray player to date, the Playstation 3!

Or, if you head to Amazon the BDP-S350 is an additional $24 off, bringing the price down to $276. Definitely worth consideration.
