DVD Sales May Suffer Thanks To Economy, Blu-ray In Trouble?

dvdshop(2).jpgBlu-ray bashers really have something to work with now. A survey conducted by the Solutions Research Group is forecasting that more of us will cut our DVD buying and switch to rentals in an effort to save dollars. Said one survey respondent, "We could make better use of our Netflix account and spend less buying DVDs". Great for Netflix, but if DVD's are too expensive, what's going to happen to poor Blu-ray? But wait Blu-ray haters. Of all the home entertainment options to be cut, DVD's were mentioned the least, and 54% of those surveyed said the economy won't affect their entertainment spending at all. I guess Blu-ray still has a chance.
