Honeywell's Altura MLX Gets Reviewed (Verdict: It Sucks)

honeywell.gifYou're probably familiar with the name Honeywell although not in connection with HDTV's. Turns out that Honeywell has a 42-inch MT-HWJCT42B2AB Altura MLX LCD TV on the market that recently came under the eye of the CNET folks. As for the good? A relatively inexpensive $1064 MSRP, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and accurate primary colors. The bad? The cheap price tag accurately sums up the rest of the Altura's features including light blacks, inaccurate gamma, dejudder processing that doesn't turn off, poor off angle performance, etc., etc. Stay away from this one folks!

Bought it and wow! Way better than any TV I've ever had or seen. I don't know what people are talking about it's great. The blacks are black as can be. 120hz is awsome. Compared to my last 42" vizio I have to say this is 100 times better.
