Honeywell's Altura MLX Gets Reviewed (Verdict: It Sucks)
You're probably familiar with the name Honeywell although not in connection with HDTV's. Turns out that Honeywell has a 42-inch MT-HWJCT42B2AB Altura MLX LCD TV on the market that recently came under the eye of the CNET folks. As for the good? A relatively inexpensive $1064 MSRP, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and accurate primary colors. The bad? The cheap price tag accurately sums up the rest of the Altura's features including light blacks, inaccurate gamma, dejudder processing that doesn't turn off, poor off angle performance, etc., etc. Stay away from this one folks!
