Vudu goes embedded with Entone partnership

entone-box.jpgVudu is doing something very different from what it's done in the past. Rather than adding third-party content to its own hardware, Vudu will make its 14000-strong movie library available on Entone set-top boxes and DVRs. And while you might not recognize the name Entone, the company serves a large market--regional telco and video providers. Many smaller providers don't offer high-definition content either, but with Entone set-tops providers will have on-demand access to both HD and Vudu's proprietary HDX content. I suppose in this case price will vary depending on the seller, but Entone boxes with embedded Vudu content should be available sometime this summer.
