HP MediaSmart servers sync with TiVo HD DVRs
HP has announced the MediaSmart Expander for TiVo, a free application that enables TiVo HD DVR owners to transfer recorded content to HP MediaSmart servers, ultimately freeing up space on the TiVo's internal drive. MediaSmart Expander also allows users to manage content stored on the server and stream content to compatible devices such as PCs and gaming consoles. The application is compatible with MediaSmart Server EX90/EX495 and the Data Vault. While the app is free, the MediaSmart EX90 and MediaSmart EX495 servers cost $549 and $699, respectively.

In 2009 and 2010 HP had so many problems with mobos and selling them knowing they were bad, for laptops and desktops and there are at least two class action suits in the works from this. HP couldn't do anything right without huge problems. Did you know their return policy is only 17 days? So if you have it built and shipped very little time for discovery. Their customer service is out of India. Do yourself a big favor and find a better company to do business with. It took about two months for me to get replacement mobo and I was a lucky one, so many have worse stories and it continues. Keep your eye on Oracle to take on HP and Dell and MS especially with the acquistion of Sun for better products at better prices.
